Nexans Sweden has big plans for the future and is now preparing its operations for the future by building a new warehouse and logistics hall of 3,000 m2 within its own factory area.

In parallel with the new premises being built, change processes are also being initiated that will lead to digitalization of the business towards Industry 4.0. In the new warehouse building, a completely new automated logistics center with digital logistic functions are now emerging.

- The Swedish operations in Grimsås are one of two factories within our group that will now be digitalized, says Lars Josefsson, CEO Nexans Sweden. It is of course great news as well as very inspiring that Nexans group chooses to invest in Sweden.

To invest in a project like Industry 4.0 means; more efficient production flows and the start of a revolutionary digitalization process within Nexans. The plan also includes a gradual transition to self-driving electric fork lifts - another initiative in support of Nexans's objective of carbon-neutral production by the year 2030.

Construction development has already started, and the timeline to begin operations is August 2021.
