GAHSQ 96 and 384 fiber - slim and rich in fiber
Dec 1, 2022We have updated our fiber optic ribbon cables GAHSQ 96 and 384 fiber.
Constant innovation is a natural part of Nexans, all departments are involved and through team effort, new products see the light of dawn and the existing range develops. When we looked at GAHSQ 96 and 384 fiber, we found that it was possible to replace the slotted core from PE to HFFR and to reduce the thickness of the sheathing without affecting the quality. In this way, we developed a cable that is not only better for the environment but is also more slim and has lower weight. The update has reduced the outer diameter of the GAHSQ 96 from 16.2 mm to 12 mm and gives the cable better handling characteristics. The cable has ribbon fiber in slotted core and retains its previous characteristics - powerful and high performance for a Nordic climate.
Sustainability
Nexans constantly works with sustainability - focused on environmental, social and economic aspects. Less plastic is part of Nexans contribution to carbon neutrality but also has a positive effect on ergonomics and installers' workload. A lighter and more flexible cable relieves the shoulders and neck of those who use the product.
