Social Sustainability at Nexans
Our main asset is our employees. It is the people within Nexans who create the customer relationships, drive business and development and who, through their way of being and acting, show who we are.
We work actively to make our employees' everyday lives safe and productive, while at the same time we want to contribute to a better society both in our immediate vicinity as well as globally.

Our objectives within Engagement
By 2026, we will reach 78% in the engagement index through our work for a healthy workplace.
We have a zero serious accidents vision (LTI)
Safety first - Our top priority
Our employees must go home in the same condition as when they came to work. We have zero vision when it comes to serious injuries and therefore work purposefully to prevent and avoid risks at all costs.
- Safety Day
Every year we dedicate a full day to a specific topic related to security. All employees then receive training and practical exercises in, for example, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, fire protection and firefighting.
- Safety Talk
Every week, representatives from company management and production meet to jointly review our production areas. The aim is to identify possible safety risks and develop solutions for how to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Safety Walk
Every week, all employees are reminded of our common safety rules. During the talks, potential dangers such as truck traffic are highlighted and the importance of reporting possible safety risks is discussed.
Program 66
We will invest a total of SEK 50 million between 2023 and 2027 to improve safety. We spend a lot of time on training to constantly remind ourselves of what we can do to create as safe a workplace as possible.
Winningtemp - a chance to know what our employees think
Every week, our employees get to anonymously answer questions about their well-being and work environment. This is done via Winningtemp, a scientific tool developed with the help of AI. In this way, we quickly get an indication of whether something changes in order to shape the best working environment possible.
Benefits for employees at Nexans
- Nexans gym
At our production facility in Grimsås, the employees have access to a 300 square meter gym. Here there are cross trainers, treadmills, bench presses, stair machines and weights available just 300 meters from the workplace. In direct connection to the gym there are changing rooms, toilets and shower areas.
- ACT - Our shareholding program for employees
It is the employees who fill Nexans with content. Therefore, it is clear to us that every individual employee should have the opportunity to become a partner in the Group - something that spurs and motivates both employers and employees.
- Trainee program
Here in Sweden, we have our own trainee program - an education where we focus on lifting internal employees and preparing them to take on a leadership role in the future.

WiN is Nexans´ global employee organization. It aims for Nexans to be a workplace and a company where diversity and inclusion are as much a beacon as a matter of course. A prerequisite for success is that we all take our responsibility and shape a workplace where everyone has a place and feels welcomed and respected - regardless of where you come from, what you believe in, who you are or what you define yourself as. Within WiN, the employees themselves drive the local issues they wish to focus on and initiate several projects throughout the year.

Nexans´ Diversity and Inclusion policy is a basic prerequisite for our ambition to be a driving force in the transition to a new electrified world. The policy is fully in line with our CSR commitments. Tillväxt Tranemo
Sustainability works through cooperation with others. We are therefore involved in the local, non-profit association Tillväxt Tranemo, which consists of representatives from business and civil servants from Tranemo municipality.
