We have asked our product managers in Grimsås which their favorite cable is.
First up is Jesper Gunnarsson, Product Manager Alarm & Security.

The choice is easy – EQQXB Easy™. A fantastic product that I keep coming back to. A versatile cable with many different installation areas. It is an easy to peel and halogen-free communication cable for alarms and security that can be used for private communication networks such as intercoms, access systems and burglar alarms. The mantle and insulation are made of flame-resistant material, meet fire requirements CPR class Dcas2d2a2, emit no corrosive gases and have little smoke development, which can be life-crucial in the event of a fire.

Welcome to Nexans Jesper! You are the new product manager for Alarm & Security, what does that mean?
Thank you, it's a wide employment but you can roughly say that I will nurture the alarm and security range by developing and maintaining it. Carry out life cycle analyses, be responsible for product data but also support and customer contact through, for example, education and seminars.

What did you do before coming to Nexans?
I have over ten years of experience as an installer, most of which has been in alarm and security solutions. Has worked with private, corporate and municipal projects.

How did you get into electrics?
The interest in electricity started already when I was a little boy when I took out motors from my RC cars and mounted them in, for example, milk cartons and the like. When it was time for high school, the choice was easy. I graduated from the electrical program and after that I got a job straight away.

Did you use Nexans cables as an installer?
I used almost exclusively Nexans cables as I appreciate their versatility. They work in many different installation areas, are easily to scale and easy to handle. Anything that facilitates work on site is positive, and Nexans makes that clear with its philosophy "For an easier everyday".

Why did you apply to Nexans?
After ten years as an installer, I saw the Nexans ad on the web, the service felt exciting, fun and was an opportunity for me to develop. What appealed to me when I applied for the position was that there is enormous knowledge and excellence on site in Grimsås, which provides a unique opportunity to listen to customers and develop existing and new products. Having the laboratory, workshop, production and many years of knowledge gathered in the same place is a huge advantage. The company's vision of electrifying the future through sustainable solutions and delivering locally produced quality cable also feels good in my heart as a dad.
