"The Super Villa" – Tell us about it

It's a private individual who is building a large house outside Värnamo, and we've been hired for all the electrical work. We named the project "The Super Villa" because it's such an impressive house. The location is fantastic, the design is unique, and it's very exciting to see it come to life.

It sounds like it requires organization and precision

Early on, it became clear to us that this construction project would be unique. There's a "Kurt Olsson plan," but nothing that's highly specified. For us, it's been a lot of freestyling to align the customer's wishes with practical solutions, as well as complying with laws and regulations. It's challenging but incredibly fun.

What's the biggest challenge?

It's probably the large bathroom where a ribbed ceiling is to be installed. Here, we had to choose smaller lighting fixtures to fit them within the ribs – it wouldn't look good if they protruded. This required a significantly higher number of fixtures to achieve proper lighting throughout the room.

Any other special solutions?

The villa is a smart home with many wireless Plejd solutions. Large and open spaces with numerous fixtures meant that we had to build a custom central unit for the kitchen and living room lighting to avoid junction boxes. Now everything is ready and prepared, and we're waiting for the painter to do their part before returning for final installation.

And what's hidden in the walls?

Nexans N-Line is everywhere in the walls and ceilings here.

How is Nexans N-Line to work with?

It's excellent. The conduit is a bit softer than usual, making it more flexible and easy to work with. It's easy to pull through, follows smoothly, and doesn't crease, which is a common issue with other conduits. The snap in the conduit is great, very easy to cut.

“ And the box! It's genuinely a new favourite that I'll keep in my service vehicle. A really great packaging! ”

Fun! You're talking about the large Cable Guy box, but you also had N-Line on long-length bobbin

Yes, it was necessary considering the size of the project. We used Nexans Cable Walker, which makes the job incredibly easy. Easy to attach and detach from the bobbins, rolls smoothly, and stands firmly. A flexible gem of a cart that I haven't worked with before but would gladly continue using.

The biggest value for you as an installer?

Prewired cables in flexible conduits tend to twist and get stuck, which usually leads to crease of the conduits, forcing you to start over. We've been spared from all of that with N-Line. Things should be easy to work with and straightforward. In this house, Nexans is everywhere, and it has worked seamlessly.

Finally - your nickname, why Lennart?

I wish I knew, but there's no explanation. The name has stuck with me for many years for an unknown reason.
