Automotive

We produce all kind of automotive cables for cars, heavy trucks, busses and construction equipment. Single core cables and flexible battery cables with cross sections from 0,35 mm² up to 120 mm². Multicore cables, with or without screen, for special applications such as transportation of dangerous goods (ADR) or can bus systems. Extra flexible cables for HEV applications for 600V use. Temperature classes from 100°C up to 200°C.

Single core cables – Shielded
Nexans also offers shielded single core cables for special purpose installation, balancing electrical performance with customer need. The portfolio meets the ECE- R118-3 requirement.

Special wires
We also offer design solutions for specific needs related to cables for both communication and power distribution needs. With excellent metallurgical capability, Nexans offers reinforced cables paired with a concentrated focus on electrical properties.

Battery cables - max 50V

Our battery cables are designed to meet direct- end client specifications and address general automotive requirement specifications, such as ECE R118-3 and ADR. Our material combinations are well verified and validated in vehicles with lifetime expectancies that are in line with the requirements in the Bus & Truck sector.

Power cables - max 900V

Nexans offers both shielded and unshielded solutions for further electrification of the commercial transport fleets around the world. We design to reduce the total cost of the complete harness component in the vehicle. The design features optimize the harness design and facilitate easier installation, while simultaneously improving the level of sustainability of the vehicle.

Single core cables

Nexans also offers a wide range of single core cables adapted for the Bus & Truck sector. As a minimum, all cables meet ECE R118-3. The design is optimized for minimum cost and optimum performance with a special focus on performance in harsh in-vehicle environments.

Multicore cables

We have a wide portfolio of products that meets both ECE R118-3 and ADR requirements. Our solutions are well adapted to installation in harsh environmental conditions and meet different specific end customer specifications in full. The portfolio is developed for the Trucks & Bus sector with a special focus on the global Truck segment.

Shielded multicores

Our shielded multicores are designed for special purpose installation requirements and balance electrical performance based on customer need. The portfolio meets applicable ECE- R118-3 requirements and ADR. The cables cover a large range of temperature classes and installation needs.

Nexans also has a range of multicore wires* available for up to 900V, that are developed for electrically powered vehicles with a dual focus on reducing environmental impact and lowering the total cost for harness systems.
