The future of 1 kV cable is here - just as you know it, but a little better. Nexans AML maintains the same high performance as usual but with thermoplastic insulation (TPI) that facilitates recycling through the ability to remelt. Along with an outer sheath of partially recycled plastic and low-carbon aluminum conductors, the cable's CO2e impact is 50% lower than equivalent options (N1XE) on the market*. Nexans AML is the first power cable in Nexans' commitment to TPI, promoting a circular economy and reducing the need for new raw materials.

TPI insulation

TPI is more easily melted than today's insulation (PEX), simplifying recycling and reuse.

Low-carbon aluminum

Nexans AML has a conductor of low-carbon aluminum, meaning the aluminum is produced with renewable energy and significantly lower carbon emissions compared to the European average.

Outer sheath of recycled plastic

The cable's outer sheath contains at least 45% recycled PE.
